About this tool
For sales within a state the GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. For sales to another state the full GST is charged as IGST. The invoice shows the taxable value, the tax for each rate, a round-off line, the total and the total in words. This is a simple invoice layout. It does not file anything on the GST portal, and businesses that must issue e-invoices need to use the government's e-invoice system. Please check the GST rate and HSN/SAC code for each item with a tax professional.
