How to use PDF Editor
- Choose your PDF file. Its pages appear below.
- Pick a tool: Text, Image, Draw / Sign, Highlight or Cover up, then click or drag on the page.
- Drag items to move them, pull the corner dot to resize, and use Undo or Delete if you change your mind.
- To fix a mistake in the original text, use Cover up to hide it and then type the correct text on top.
- Click Save edited PDF to download the new file.
About this tool
This editor adds new content on top of the pages of your PDF: text, images, drawings, highlights and cover-up boxes. It does not rewrite the text that is already part of the PDF, because most PDFs do not store text in an editable way. Cover up only hides what is under it visually. The original text can still be inside the file, so do not use it to hide private information you plan to share. Text uses the standard Helvetica, Times and Courier fonts. Text in other scripts, such as Hindi, or symbols like ₹, is added as a picture of the text so that it looks right, but it cannot be selected afterwards. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.

Is this PDF editor free?
Yes. It is free, has no watermark and needs no signup.
Can I edit the existing text in my PDF?
Not directly. You can add new text anywhere, and use Cover up to hide old text and type over it. Changing the original text in place is not possible in this tool.
How do I sign a PDF?
Choose Draw / Sign, draw your signature with your mouse or finger, and then drag it into position. You can also add a picture of your signature with the Image tool.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is opened and saved inside your browser. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
Does Cover up permanently remove text?
No. It places a coloured box over the text, so the page looks clean, but the original text may still exist inside the file. Do not rely on it to hide sensitive information.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, on a modern phone browser. You can draw a signature with your finger. For long documents or detailed editing a computer is easier.
Why can't it open my PDF?
Password-protected or damaged PDFs cannot be opened. Remove the password first, or try another copy of the file.
